Book Review: Ask and It Is given; Learning to manifest your desires. Ester and Jerry Hicks

Brief Summary:

Ask and It Is Given is a foundational book on the Law of Attraction, based on the teachings of Abraham, a group of non-physical entities channeled by Esther Hicks. The book explains how our thoughts and emotions shape our reality and how we can deliberately and purposefully manifest our desires by aligning energetically with what it is that we want. It offers practical processes to raise our vibration, shift limiting beliefs, and attract abundance. The core message is that everything we desire is already available to us—we just need to align with it energetically.

5 Key Points:

1. Your Thoughts Create Your Reality – The Universe responds to the vibration of your thoughts and emotions. What you focus on, whether wanted or unwanted, expands. The universe does not understand when we focus on please don’t let x happen. All is hearsay is the x and the massive focus we are putting in it. We will do ourselves a service by only focusing on what is good and what we want to achieve.

2. The Three-Step Manifestation Process –

• Ask – Identify what you want and set a clear intention.

• It Is Given – The Universe immediately responds and starts aligning circumstances in your favor.

• Allow – The most important step is letting go of resistance and trusting the manifestation process.

Think fancy restaurant! Bear with me, you sit down, you relax, you peruse the menu. , you choose your desired items. There is no point at which you worry that those desired items won’t turn up. We trust in the restaurant. So why don’t we trust in the universe???? Play games with the universe, order what you would like and watch it turn up.

3. Your Emotional Guidance System – Emotions indicate whether you are in alignment with your desires. Joy, excitement, and peace shows you are on the right path, while fear, doubt, and frustration signal misalignment.

4. Raise Your Vibration to Manifest – To attract what you want, you must embody the energy of already having it. Gratitude, visualization, and affirmations help shift your vibration.

5. There Are 22 Powerful Processes for Alignment – The book includes 22 techniques to help shift energy, including scripting, meditation, and the “Wouldn’t It Be Nice If?” method to gently open up to possibilities.

What I Learned / Notes:

• Manifestation isn’t about chasing desires; it’s about aligning with them energetically.

• Negative emotions aren’t “bad”—they are indicators that my thoughts are out of alignment.

• Letting go of resistance (doubt, fear, overthinking) is just as important as setting intentions.

• Gratitude and joy are the fastest ways to shift my vibration and attract what I want.

• The Universe is always responding—I just need to become a better receiver.

Book Review: The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer

Personal Growth, Personal Development, Spirituality, Connecting to inner self.

Brief Summary:
The Untethered Soul is a profound exploration of consciousness, inner freedom, and self-awareness. Michael A. Singer delves into the nature of the mind, the constant inner dialogue we all experience, and how we can free ourselves from its limitations. He explains how to detach from thoughts, release emotional baggage, and live in a state of peace by surrendering to the flow of life. The book offers a blend of spirituality and practical wisdom to help readers break free from fear and experience true inner liberation.

5 Key Points:
    1.    You Are Not Your Thoughts – The voice in your head is not you; it’s just a stream of conditioned thoughts. It’s an accumulation of all the conversation and experiences you have ever had filtered through an ego that wishes to protect you from harm. Learning to observe it rather than identify with it creates inner peace.
    2.    Let Go of Emotional Baggage – Holding onto past pain and fear creates suffering. By allowing emotions to pass through without resistance, we free ourselves from unnecessary suffering. When we feel it is not wrong we need to feel, let yourself feel the emotion and let it pass on, holding onto it causes it to stay with us and cause more pain.
    3.    Stay Open to Life – Fear causes us to close ourselves off from experiences, but true freedom comes from staying open, even when life feels uncertain or challenging. New experiences and situations are often feared as they are unknown to us, but embracing the new with an open mind and heart reduces fear. Each time we head into the unknown with open minds and hearts our fear is reduced.
    4.    Surrender is the Path to Inner Peace – Instead of controlling or resisting life, surrendering to its natural flow brings a deep sense of ease and trust in the Universe. There are so many variables to life that we as one person can not possibly have control over all the variables. Surrendering with peace in our hearts that’s the universe has everything under control is that path to inner peace.
    5.    True Happiness Comes from Within – External circumstances may bring temporary joy, but lasting happiness is found by connecting with your true self beyond the mind’s chatter. Calming the mind, trusting in the universe, letting go of what does not serve you and staying open to new experiences will all lead you to internal happiness. Even if the external doesn’t quite match it just yet.

What I Learned:
    •    My thoughts don’t define me; I have the power to step back and observe them without getting caught up.
    •    Emotional pain only lingers when I hold onto it—letting go is my choice.
    •    The more I resist life, the more I struggle. Trusting the flow brings ease, flow and joy.
    •    Fear is a barrier, but staying open despite discomfort leads to deeper freedom and internal happiness.
    •    True peace isn’t found in changing external circumstances but in shifting my inner state.
